About Jan
Jan Brecke´s focus and interest has always been on Senior Executive Development, helping top leaders to bring their leadership to perfection. He has coached and advised Senior Executives in large corporates for more than 15 years. His focus is on tailored interventions for top executives (C-level, EVP, VP and MD level), senior management teams, as well as designing and delivering international leadership programs. He has supported large organizations to build suitable corporate leadership cultures for the future and has recently been leading projects like “Leadership 2020” for Daimler, resulting in 150 concrete actions. His latest book „So wollen Top-Talente arbeiten – Handlungsempfehlungen für eine Unternehmenskultur der Zukunft” was published in 2015 by the Frankfurter Allgemeine Media Corporation, in cooperation with the Neue Zuercher Zeitung.

Jan combines hard and soft, holding a Master and Bachelor in Psychology as well as a Bachelor Business Economics – with specific credentials in leadership advisory:

Professional Experience
Jan Brecke has a track record of 16 years in large corporations (GE, Beiersdorf, UBS, Deutsche Bank, Daimler), more than 10 in Senior Management functions. Until 2015 he was the Vice President for Global Development at Beiersdorf, in charge of Global Succession Planning, Talent Management, Leadership Development, Employer Branding and Organizational Structures, always in close interaction with the board. Other former roles include European Learning & Development Leader for GE, in charge of the GE Academy as well as Global Head of Talent & Leadership Development for Deutsche Bank´s Group Finance division, after having spent 5 years with UBS in various roles as the Head Leadership Development US for Global Wealth Management, based in New York.
In addition, he has managed global HR Development functions including Talent and Leadership in various big corporates, working intensively with Board Successor Candidates, Senior Executives and Top Talents. Being responsible for the Top Talent programs in these corporates, he coached many of those to successfully bring them to the next level.
